African Chelonian Institute
Awa Wade is a member of the African Chelonian Institute where she mitigates immediate threats of illegal poaching in the coastal village community of Mbodiene, Senegal. By leading the Sea turtle anti-poaching response plan at her own community Ms Awa Wade was able to rescue numerous Sea turtles/83 specimens 2017/103 specimens 2018/45specimens 2019 and conduct sea turtle education program in schools who reached more than 3500 scholars.
