Akshay’s planning, advisory, and advocacy support with Friends of Nairobi National Park helps protect the park and its greater ecosystem from infrastructure development. He also helps local conservation organizations in the east and southern Africa gain new strategic approaches to help them do their work more effectively, helping ensure more land is intact, wildlife can thrive, and people living alongside the wildlife can benefit and thrive. Akshay’s current goal is to establish a local citizen-funded organization that undertakes public interest litigation on environmental matters in Kenya.
